Dear Friends,
First, although Easter is now more than a week past, the season goes on! We continue the celebration a total of 7 Sundays, which gets us to the day of Pentecost (50 days after Easter).
To keep the celebration going, take some time to read the Gospel accounts of the Resurrection! We read Mark 16 on Easter Sunday, but you should also read Matthew 28, Luke 24, and John 20-21.
To make it easier, here's a recording of Matthew 28! I'll include recordings for Luke and John in the following weeks.
Second, I announced at church on Sunday that I've received a call to serve a dual parish in Southeastern Missouri (Trinity Lutheran Church in Fredericktown, MO and Zion Lutheran Church in Gravelton, MO). With a baby expected in the next several weeks, I am not certain of a timeline for making a decision on this call. I will keep you in the loop along the way. Pray for the folks down there in Missouri as they seek a faithful under-shepherd!
Third, don't forget! The Pregnancy Resource Center's walk for life will take place on Saturday morning, May 3! More information is available at church. Join in to help support a great cause!

Last, you are invited to a presentation sponsored by the Good Shepherd Foundation. It is a presentation about estate planning and legacy giving. It turns out that regardless the size of your estate, there are great ways to be charitable while providing for your heirs as well as minimizing your tax liability. Hosted at Trinity in Sauk Rapids on Thursday, May 15 at 4pm, this is a clear and helpful source of information!

God bless and keep you,
Pr. Buchs
